Last July, 7 Dutch participants traveled to the city of Daugavpils, in eastern Latvia, to explore the wonderful world of graffiti. By trying out graffiti, learning about graffiti artists across Europe and drawing lots, the participants turned into mini graffiti experts themselves.

All of this was part of an youth exchange hosted by the Latvian organisation Jaunatnes Sports Biedriba "lelu vingrosana", supported in the progress by graffiti artist Edgar Largo. House of Culture was one of their three partner organisations together with Hellas For Us from Greece (https://hellasforus.wordpress.com/) and Viaje A La Sostenibilidad from Spain (http://viajealasostenibilidad.org/).

End results were four painted walls and many wonderful painted doors at a local youth centre. Plus of course equipping 28 young Europeans with some experience in graffiti, teaching them new ways to express themselves in a creative way...AND they learnt about Spanish, Greek and Latvian culture through 3 amazing cultural evenings.
